Saint George CastleThis is in the heart of downtown Lisboa, overlooking everything. It's history is very long and storied. First inhabitants of the site were probably around the 6th century....BC!!! The first fortifications were probably in the 2nd century BC. It's been built, rebuilt and modified several times since, having gone through various rulers and at least 2 earthquakes. It's been used as a fort, a castle, a palace, a prison, a national archive, and now a tourist attraction.

This is indicative of how I remember Lisboa. Trams running everywhere and the castle always overlooking you. - Castle Wall
