- Las Lajas Sanctuary
This cathedral is built against the side of a small canyon where a local woman saw the visage of the virgin mary in the side of the canyon. It is truly stunning. - Las Lajas Sanctuary

The lines in Nazca were made hundreds of years ago by the indigenous people. It's not fully understood how or why they were made. The lines are visible because the larger darker pebbles have been swept to the side, exposing the lighter color sand underneath. The more well known lines for pictures of things like spiders, monkeys, birds, etc. But there are hundreds of lines that are just that: Super straight and precise lines that go on for miles. - Las Lajas Sanctuary

This is a ruin site in the middle of Lima. The ruins are not very robust, being made mostly of sun baked mud. Surprisingly, these ruins have lasted for well over 1000 years. The reason is that Lima gets no rain. The average annual rainfall in Lima is 0.6 mm per year! - Nazca
