This is the right 1/3 of the falls. As treacherous as it appears, the surface of the falls is very rough and decidedly unslippery. Sam and I climbed up on what appears to be the slipperiest part. It was so rough, that you didn't really need to look for a foot hold. Just put your foot down anywhere and it would pretty much stay there, despite the fact that it was at a 45 degree angle with water flowing over it. You could also swim right into the falls by sneaking around the right side and swimming laterally into the falls, which Sam and I did. The current in the other falls was strong enough that it was pretty tough to swim into the falls unless you're Mark Spitz.
